Habitat/range: They prefer rocky areas where they can hide, but they are also seen in sponges, the spines of urchins and under anemones. They are found along coral reefs from North Carolina and Bermuda to Brazil and throughout the Caribbean.

There are several different species of Arrow crabs, but Stenorhynchus seticornis is the most common. These crabs are found in the western regions of the Atlantic Ocean from Bermuda and North Carolina to Brazil and throughout the tropical waters of the Caribbean Sea

Do Arrow crabs live in coral reefs?

Habitat. The yellowline arrow crab lives on coral reefs between depths of 10 and 30 feet

So, it is risky to house Arrow crabs with small and peaceful fish, shrimp, and snails. As they will likely begin to prey on them eventually.

It has a long and narrow rostrum (up to 3 cm or ~1 inch) drawn out into a tapered point. Their long and slender legs are often spotted or banded with orange or red. Arrow crabs have blue to violet claws that look more like gloves. In captivity, Arrow crabs can live up to 5 years.
